CASE Event Recap
February 2012 LCRA Breakfast
Drought presentation by Nora Mullarkey, from the LCRA

LCRA Water Conservation Supervisor Nora Mullarkey

As a result of an initiative spearheaded by the CASE Board of Directors to become more actively involved, the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) generously hosted the CASE 2012 Winter Breakfast at the beautiful LCRA Rosebud Center.

Water Conservation Supervisor Nora Mullarkey addressed approximately 50 CASE members on the paralyzing drought that is gripping Central Texas. Mullarkey informed the Directors and Consultants about the critical issues facing Texas’ water supply as well as measures that Utility Districts could take in an effort to mitigate the drought’s impact to residents. The event was concluded with a brief Question and Answer session followed by a gracious invitation to visit the grounds to gain a better understanding of the Rosebud Center’s gold rating from the LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System™ as well as a Four-Star rating from the Austin Energy Green Building™ program.
